Nice lady at the front desk
Non-smoking room absolutely reeked of years-worth of smoke

It was a short overnight stay, with us expecting economy and getting it. There were no major problems except that the supposed "non-smoking" room had clearly just been designated as such since it utterly reeked of old smoke. It was sickening. This hotel was a great for the money. it is about 20 minutes from san diego and 20 from oceanside. Great location.

They kept turning off the air conditioner in the middle of day.

Since they kept turning off the air conditioner (even after I talked to someone at the desk), I returned to a hot room. It took over one hour for it to cool off. The bed was like sleeping on a rock. The chairs were softer. ...read more

The a/c was working!
The bed was a little hard to sleep on.

Overall, the hotel was nicely located next to a restaurant that had great prices to eat at. And it was close to downtown Escondido.

Very dirty, plumbing problems, gross.

If you want to keep your credibility with the consumer I would suggest you take them off your list of Hotels. Just for information we booked 10 rooms at Howard Johnson all in the same condition.
